Hey, Nesrin, thanks! Finally. Hope I can catch up with myself. We’ll okay. As you can see, being naughty keeps me young, but doesn’t help at climbing the stairs.
I was trying to eat my sandwich while reading this. I could not, of course, due to the skillful imagery throughout this delightful piece. Here via Ray's Best. Congrats! <3
Somehow, the poem makes the aging of the god feel almost physical - almost like a sensation.
His exhaustion is never directly named. It is only seen, only felt, emerging through confusion, through the accumulation of images, through words slowly forming the meaning.
I love the way you suggest - the writing feels deeply rooted in consciousness itself. It doesn't simply describe an experience; it recreates the way a mind, a body, and a memory move through it.
Beautiful language and lines here, “Incarcerated by old age.” Looking forward to studying your poetry
Thanks, Gil!
Let me add, at the end of my day, that your "studying my poetry" was high among the most heart-warming comments I've ever received. Thanks again, Gil!

Thank you for writing this.
Bloody delightful thank you, KR!
Enjoyed this one, as my 81 year old body is increasingly reminding me of the ticking clock.
